Peter Appleseed as you might assume, is associated with Johnny Appleseed.  But he is not synonymous with that other person.  He is in some ways, following in his footsteps. Peter Appleseed is also somewhat connected with Pete Seeger and his Apple Recordings, as a big fan and follower.  RIP Pete Seeger.  He was a good friend and I met with him at the Beacon Sloop club meetings.  Great banjo player.  But Peter Appleseed is very vaguely connected with Apple Records of the Beatles and/or Apple Mac computers LOL
