What's it like being an actor?
Well, you get to pretend to be somebody that you're not. And there is a stronger focus brought to this, more than the normal attention paid to the actions of a real person. This stronger focus is somehow connected to myth and legend. Back in the days, it was wrought through telling after telling, time after time, generations at the campfire side. Today, it's brought about much quicker... in an instant. Tell a story, teach a lesson, bring the people a message.
And it is totally controlled, even if it's improv, the editing is manipulated by the technicians and ultimately the producer. A controlled, organized little act, that presents whatever it IS to the audience.
